The MisShapes project: installation of a party is a documentation of people dancing I shot in 2005. Each Dancer, all from the MisShapes party crowd, chose a song, an outfit and was given three minutes of free form dancing on camera. The resulting work, 86 minutes long, will be looped and installed in parties in the city. My aim in this project was to try and break the barriers between the video-art work that's projected on the walls of so many parties these days and the actual participants in the party. In project MisShapes, the participants are both in the video projected on the wall and the one's dancing on the dance floor, blurring the boundaries between spectators, participants and artists and creating an installation of a party that proves that a good party is essentially art and good art, well, is a party!
