Uri Sharlin: Original Score Israeli born accordionist, pianist and composer Uri Sharlin is a bonafide innovator who synthesizes melodies from around the Mediterranean Sea with world rhythms, forming a music that breathes joyfulness and melancholy with expressive clarity. He has traveled numerous times to Brazil to soak in the country’s rich musical culture and language. In 2003, Sharlin started his own group, the Cardamon Quartet, where he blends influences from the Mediterranean with those of the Americas, including avant-garde jazz, classical, rumba, and Brazilian samba. For more information see www.urisaharlin.com. Ido Fluk: Writer/Director Ido Fluk was born in 1980 in Israel and is a filmmaker and video-artist living in Brooklyn, New York. His work has been shown in galleries (Black Lab Seattle, Collective Unconscious New York, MicroMuseum Brooklyn, 291 London), worldwide festivals (Dumbo Arts NY, Invideo Milano, Italy, Rencontres Internationales Paris-Berlin, Darklight Dublin Ireland and Videolisboa Portugal) and won such awards as the Warner Bros. Pictures film production award, The Israeli Council for the Arts travel and presentation grant, Adbusters ABTV award and the Jerusalem Film Festival's Young Director's award. a BFA in film production from New York University’s prestigious
Tisch School of Oscar Zambrano: Sound Design Oscar Zambrano was born and raised in Mexico City. While in high school, he played saxophone for a band called Oompa Loompa. After graduating he enrolled at Berklee College of Music in Boston where he studied Music Production & Engineering, with a minor in film scoring and composition While at Berklee, he was able to participate in several mastering projects. He also became part of the Prentice Hall audio editing team. During his last year of college, Oscar interned at M-Works Mastering, where he assisted on mastering sessions, learned Sonic Solutions, and familiarized himself with various mastering equipment and techniques. In the summer of 2003, Oscar was hired at Sound On Sound Recording in New York City. There he worked as a general assistant, and was involved in several recording and mix sessions. He eventually became an engineer for various artists. While in NYC, Oscar started mastering for several independent record labels. In 2005, together with Jorge Castellanos, Oscar created Zampol Productions with the goal of offering several audio services. Itay Gross: Assistant Director Itay Gross was born in 1981 in Tel Aviv, Israel. His early interest in filmmaking and the arts brought him to Ironi Aleph Arts high school in Tel Aviv where he attended a program specializing in Film and Television production and theory. While still in school, Itay worked for a local cable youth program and gained precious experience in cinematography and directing. He continued pursuing his passion as a soldier in the Israeli army, serving as an educational filmmaker and refining his skills. After being released, Itay worked as a journalist for MSN Israel and kept gaining experience, working as a Gaffer for large scale Israeli feature films. In 2002 Itay enrolled in the Film and Television department at Tel Aviv University, later transferring to New York University's Tisch School of the Arts Film & TV production BFA program. Specializing as a cinematographer while still directing his personal work, Itay's work has been displayed at festivals both in the US and worldwide. He lives in New York City.
